SKETCHING + PAINTING

Sketching and Painting is a huge part of my journey throughout the design process, stemming from my Fine Art studies at Coleg Y Cymoedd. Studies of the human form and expressions have been at the fore front of my Artistic exploration. Although I use this skill in design processes, this skill is always developing and it is also something I enjoy doing in my spare time. These images have been collated through several years.

Current Painting

A project I am working on at the moment, is a large character drawing of 'Jeanine' from Dirty Crusty. This piece of work will feature in Balance 2024. Working with Acrylic and painted on a hand stretched canvas (900 x 1180) the style of painting that I hope to achieve is based off of the artist Cristina Troufa, her use of colour within her work is inspiring and a style I would like to develop.
